Plainfield students host voter registration drive

Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry visited with Plainfield South High School student ambassadors during the voter registration drive in November. Seven PSHS students hosted the three-day drive after completing the Student Ambassador Program sponsored by Ferry’s office. More than 120 students registered to vote. The seven students completed training in October to become deputy registrars in Will County. Ambassadors also are asked to recruit other students to be election judges and be election judges themselves. The nonpartisan Student Ambassador Program encourages people to engage in the election process and exercise their right to vote.
