District 202 director for middle school administration and personnel Jennifer Orlos will serve next school year as the assistant superintendent for administration and personnel, replacing Tony Manville, who is retiring next summer. She has worked in her current role since August 2013.
Starting in 1990, Orlos worked 11 years as an elementary teacher, department chair and administrator, including one year as principal at Mary of Nazareth School in Harvey.
In 2002, she started teaching seventh grade math and social studies at Crete-Monee Middle School in University Park. She also served as a seventh grade dean for a year at Crete-Monee, before becoming an academic advisor for that school.
She came to District 202 in 2006 and served three years as assistant principal at Indian Trail Middle School, then served four years as principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School.
