Mary Piacentini, formerly of Mark and now residing at Manor Court in Liberty Village of Peru, is celebrating her 100th birthday on Nov. 29.

She was born Mary Sardagna, in Standard on Nov. 29, 1919. She married Lodovico Piacentini who passed away Oct. 2, 1972.

She is the last survivor of her family of two brothers and three sisters. She has a daughter, Rita (Gordon) Armstrong of Peru and nieces and nephews. A family gathering is planned at Liberty Village.
