DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library will host its first “Ukulele Strum and Sing” at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 26.
Show up with your ukulele and Liz and Jim Beloff’s “The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs for Better Living” songbook, and be ready to play with other people.
Don’t have a uke? Bring your voice. Can’t sing? Bring your uke. A song list will be posted before each meetup so those who wish can run through beforehand.
The songs for September include: “Bye Bye Love,” “Tonight You Belong to Me,” “Three Little Birds,” “26 Miles,” “Crazy,” “Bad Bad Leroy Brown,” “Hound Dog,” “Don’t Worry” and “Rocky Top.”
Carolyn Law and Sue Klopfenstein will lead the program. Sessions will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every fourth Thursday.
