Reckless driving, damage arrest

Oswego police arrested Cesar A. Castanedo, 25, of the 2200 block of Rebecca Court, Montgomery, on charges of reckless driving, criminal damage to property and driving on a suspended license after responding to a crash report at noon Sept. 24 in the area of Orchard Road and Tuscany Trail. Damages in the accident were estimated at $1,500. No injuries were reported. Castanedo was taken to the Oswego Police Department, where he posted bond.

Speeding arrest

Oswego police arrested Saul Ramirez, 51, of Aurora, on charges of speeding and driving on a suspended license, after conducting a traffic stop at 9:50 a.m. Sept. 25 in the area of Madison and Jackson streets. Ramirez was released on his own recognizance and was given a date to appear in Kendall County Court in Yorkville.

Speeding arrest

Oswego police arrested Christian A. Ibarra, 19, of Oswego, on charges of driving on a suspended license and speeding, after conducting a traffic stop at 3:21 p.m. Sept. 25, in the area of Washington Street and Faro Court. Ibarra was released on his own recognizance and was given a date to appear in Kendall County Court.

No valid license arrest

Oswego police arrested Saul O. Rodriguez, 20, of the 900 block of Fourth Street, Aurora, on a charge of no valid driver’s license after conducting a traffic stop at 9:17 p.m. Sept. 25 in the area of Douglas and Long Beach roads. Rodriguez was released on his own recognizance and was given a date to appear in Kendall County Court.

Domestic battery report

Oswego police took a report of domestic battery at 7:42 p.m. Sept. 26 in the area of Kensington Drive and Fifth Street.

Retail theft reported

Oswego police took a report of retail theft at 8:58 p.m. Sept. 26 from a business in the 3000 block of Route 34. Officers reported that the theft took place at 4:36 p.m., in which $123.93 in merchandise was taken.

Criminal damage to property
investigation

Oswego police are investigating a report of criminal damage to property that took place at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 on Brock Court. The victim reported that two tires on her vehicle had been slashed, causing about $350 in damage. The investigation is ongoing.

Battery investigation

Oswego police responded to a reported battery between two individuals at 12:16 a.m. Sept 29 in the 0-10 block of East Merchants Drive. No injuries were reported.

Hit-and-run investigation

Oswego police are investigating a reported hit-and-run that took place at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 28, in the area of Concord Drive and Grape Vine Trail, where a multiunit mail box was damaged. Damages are about $2,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Domestic battery arrest

Oswego police arrested Robin L. Moran, 59, of the 300 block of Millstream Lane, Oswego, on a charge of domestic battery after responding to a report of domestic battery at 10 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 300 block of Millstream Lane. Moran was taken to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville to await bond. She was given a date to appear in Kendall County Court.

Battery reported

Oswego police are investigating a reported battery that took place at 11 p.m. Sept. 28 in the area of Station Drive and Mill Road. The investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct

Oswego police are investigating a report of disorderly conduct that occurred at 6:53 a.m. Sept. 30 at Oswego High School in the 4200 block of Route 71. The investigation is ongoing.

Telephone threats investigation

Oswego police are investigating a report of threats made over the telephone that occurred at 12:04 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 200 block of Holly Lane.
