BATAVIA – The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of Bocaditos Café, an authentic Argentine restaurant in downtown Batavia, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Aug. 28, according to a news release from the chamber.
Among the large crowd of well-wishers were owners Silvia Sanchez and her daughter, Juliana Cancelo, their family and staff and Mayor Jeffery Schielke. Also in attendance were Batavia Chamber President Margaret Perreault, Chamber Special Events Coordinator Patti Anselme, Chamber Communications and Membership Coordinator Shirley Mott, Batavia MainStreet Interim Executive Director Jamie Saam, many Chamber ambassadors and members, as well as fellow downtown business owners.
Bocaditos' Argentine-focused menu centers around various flavors of empanadas. The carryout restaurant is located at 109 E. Wilson St. and is open from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
