Aurora man charged with video recording woman in Oswego without consent

OSWEGO – An Aurora man was arrested in connection with an incident where a woman was recorded in a bathroom and residence without her consent.

Oswego police said in a news release that Lukas T. Pawlowski, 19, of the 1000 block of Rainwood Drive in Aurora, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 14, and has been charged with two counts of unauthorized videotaping, a Class 4 felony, according to Kendall County court records. If convicted, Pawlowski could face up to three years in prison.

Police said in the news release they received a report in May 2019 that Pawlowski allegedly recorded video of an adult female victim in a restroom and in a residence on Mansfield Way without her consent. A warrant for Pawlowski's arrest was issued on July 25, according to the news release.

Kendall County Chief Judge Robert Pilmer issued a $15,000 bond for him on Wednesday, Aug. 14, according to court records. Pawlowski had to post 10% of the bond to be released from the custody of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, where he posted bond later that afternoon, according to the news release and sheriff's records.

Pawlowski is due back in court 9 a.m. Sept. 18 at the Kendall County Courthouse.
