Editor’s Note: This is Part 2 of the Two-Part Exhibition Results.
Kendall County 4-H members participated in the two-day 4-H Pleasure Horse Show. The youth and their horses spent the day at Dr. Howard O. Koch Arena at Harris Forest Preserve on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14.
“The two days of exhibition featured horsemanship and showmanship classes, as well as both English and Western riding style classes,” said Kim Eisnaugle, 4-H youth development program coordinator. “During these culminating events, youth showcase what they have learned and trained for throughout the year.”
Macy Krempski of Yorkville earned the Senior English High Point trophy and rosette. Reserve Champion honors went to Augie Staudacher, also of Yorkville. The Junior English High Point award went to Maddie Wietting of Joliet; and Sara Buss of Yorkville earned the Reserve Champion spot.
In Western style, Senior High Point rider was Augie Staudacher, with Lucy Anderson of Yorkville taking the Reserve High Point position. Kailynn Wietting of Joliet was named Junior Western High Point rider. The Reserve rosette went to Lilianna Casbarian of Yorkville.
Alexis Modaff of Oswego earned the Sue Kuefler Memorial Traveling Trophy, which recognizes a youth in the horse project one to two years, who excels in both English and Western classes on the same horse. Her name will be added to the trophy and she received a 2019 embroidered halter. The award is given in memory of Sue Kuefler by Ed Kuefler and the Johnson and Prestegaard families.
