DeKALB -- A group exhibition titled “16 DeKalb Gallery Artists” featuring a variety of original fine art will run Aug. 4 to 31 at the renovated Art Box Gallery, 308 E. Lincoln Highway in DeKalb.
All of the artists in the exhibition are originally from the Midwest and most of them have connections and experiences through Northern Illinois University or DeKalb seeking opportunities in the area of visual fine art.
The artists in the exhibition are: Renie B. Adams, Gil Beamsley, Richard Beard, Sandra E. Bechtolsheim, Louise Béhal Price, Carol Bingham, Robert Bornhuetter, Daniel Grych, Bill Haendel, Pat Lagger, Louis Mustari, Linda Thornton Peterson, Joan E. Robertson, Letitia Roller, Charlotte Rollman and Steven Tritt.
Most of the artists reside in the DeKalb area, but some live as far as New Mexico and Tennessee. Their backgrounds and expertise in the fine arts are diverse. They have been recognized for their work locally, regionally, nationally and internationally and their art is collected by students, enthusiasts, private investors, colleges, universities and corporations.

The opening reception for “16 DeKalb Gallery Artists” is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4.
