Hundreds of cars will cover the streets of downtown Sycamore on Saturday when Discover Sycamore hosts the annual Cruise Night to kick off Turning Back Time Weekend.

The event from 3 to 11 p.m. will feature a food and beer garden, a classic car cruise parade at 6:30 p.m., and live music by The Retaliators starting at 7 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded, as well as trophies to the top three cars.

Along with Cruise Night, DeKalb Sycamore Chevrolet Cadillac GMC will kick off Turning Back Time Weekend with its sixth annual Pre-Party Car Show. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at DeKalb Sycamore Chevrolet's lot located at 1925 Mercantile Drive in Sycamore. There will be a free hog roast and ice cream from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; giveaways, including Cubs tickets; live music by DJ Dave, plus all of the classic cars on display. Turning Back Time Weekend will conclude with the 20th annual Fizz Ehrler Memorial Car Show on Sunday. More than 1,000 vehicles and motorcycles will be present for this event. Registration opens at 7 a.m. and runs until noon. Following registration, there will be entertainment for all ages. At 3 p.m., awards will be given for Best of Show, Best Truck, Fizz Pick, and many other categories.
