Starting at noon on Monday, Zones A and B of the Fox River will be under a no-wake restriction with a debris advisory, according to a news release from the Fox Waterway Agency.
Zone A extends north from the Algonquin dam in Algonquin (river mile 82.75) to the William G. Stratton-Thomas A. Bolger Lock and Dam (river mile 99), near McHenry. Zone B extends from the McHenry dam to the entrance at Pistakee Lake (river mile 106). Mile markers are located along the shores of the waterway.
Zone C is the Chain O’ Lakes and is open to full boating with a debris advisory.
The flood stage of the Fox River at Algonquin tailwater is 9.5 feet. As of 8:30 a.m. Monday, the river is at 7.8 feet and is estimated to hit 8.5 feet Tuesday.
