FBI releases photos of suspect in Plainfield bank robbery

The FBI has released photos of a man suspected of robbing BMO Harris Bank in Plainfield.

The photos show a man wearing gray baggy sweatpants, a gray Under Armour sweatshirt and a black baseball cap. The FBI said he had a Band-Aid on each cheek.

At 3:41 p.m. Monday, the man, who has yet to be identified, robbed the BMO Harris Bank at 15101 S. Route 59, the FBI said.

The bank is across the street from Plainfield Academy.

The FBI said the robber has a medium build and appears to be between the age of 25 and 35. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information directly leading to his arrest.

The robber should be “considered armed and dangerous,” the FBI said.

When asked how much the suspect allegedly stole from the bank or how the robbery was committed, FBI Special Agent Siobhan Johnson referred to the federal agency’s Wanted Bank Robbers website.

Plainfield Police Chief John Konopek did not return a call about the robbery.

Plainfield police and FBI agents responded to the bank late Monday afternoon. Police already were at the bank when a woman identifying herself as an FBI agent arrived about 5 p.m.
