Cedarhurst Senior Living, provider of independent living, assisted living and memory care for seniors, has opened a new community in Yorkville.
Cedarhurst of Yorkville is located at 4040 Cannonball Trail. The modern, state-of-the-art community offers 53 assisted-living apartments, and 20 apartments specifically designed for seniors affected by varying degrees of memory loss or Alzheimer’s Disease.
“From the time we opened our first senior living community in 2008, our residents have been at the center of everything we do, each and every day,” said Josh Stevens, Cedarhurst Senior Living president. “We understand by both design and experience that each individual has different needs and wants in his or her community. We’re proud to now be able to offer life-enriching spaces and services to seniors in Yorkville and surrounding areas.”
Cedarhurst’s mission is to provide an individualized care plan for each resident, based on detailed assessments and the resident’s choice of wants and needs. This person-centered care approach is designed to achieve the right balance between independence and structure, aligned with each resident’s personal preferences.
The pet-friendly community offers multiple floor plans for both its assisted living and customized memory care apartments. Assisted living helps residents manage the tasks essential to maintaining an independent lifestyle. For seniors experiencing cognitive decline, memory care provides specialized daily treatment in a safe, secure and homelike setting. All apartments feature easy access to common living or dining areas.
The amenities include 24-hour in-house care program, restaurant-style dining, year-round activities and events, and expansive therapy services conducted by fulltime certified therapists in an onsite wellness center. Scheduled transportation, recreational outings and a private theater are also available.
The management team at Cedarhurst of Yorkville will be led by Executive Director Jamie Pugh. All caregivers and employees share Cedarhurst’s commitment to care, uncovering each resident’s particular personality and working with them daily to establish a lasting relationship of trust, dignity and respect.
“The bond between residents and the local team is undeniable, which is exactly what you would want when people are involved in each other’s lives on a daily basis,” Stevens said. “The new team in Yorkville brings together decades of experience serving the needs of our residents on both an assisted living and memory care basis.”
