Police, DuPage County coroner investigate a death at Hummer Park in Downers Grove

DOWNERS GROVE – Downers Grove police are investigating a death at Hummer Park, after responding to a call on the morning of April 11, according to a news release. Police say they found a person who died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound at 9:35 a.m.

The DuPage County coroner, who also responded to the scene, is working with police officers to identify the victim. Police say they are unable to release any more information pending the victim's identification. Those with information are asked to call the police department at 630-434-5600.
