POEM: I Hate Winter!

It's 30 below with a promise of more snow!

I hate winter, that I know!

What will I do?

I'll go to bed and cover my head,

And hope I don't freeze by morning light.

What a fright!

When you're 91, you feel it in your bones.

I guess I'll just stay in and moan.

Will this snow and cold weather never end?

Lord, I said my prayers every night.

It didn't help in any way,

because it's cold and snowy every day.

It makes me sad, I say.

Cold weather is not my friend.

Will it never end?

Oh — they say warmer weather is on the way?

Hooray! Hooray!

(I really hate winter!)
