MORRISON – Dorrine J. Deter, 88, of Morrison, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Resthave Home in Morrison. She retired from the Morrison High School cafeteria.
Dorrine was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Morrison, to Alvin and Jannette M. (Zuidema) Bos. She married Clayton L. Deter on June 7, 1950, in Sterling. Dorrine was a member of the Science Ridge Mennonite Church in Sterling.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton; three sons, Rod (Tammy) Deter, Russ (Amy) Deter and Rick (Glenda) Deter, all of Morrison; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marilyn Habben of Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Deter; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Deter; and one brother, William Bos.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Science Ridge Mennonite Church in Sterling, with Craig Sipes, pastor of Brethren in Christ Church in Morrison and Dan Rusmisel, pastor, co-officiating. Interment will be at Science Ridge Mennonite Cemetery in Sterling.
A memorial has been established by the family.
