DOWNERS GROVE - Aluminum bleachers have been stolen from two Downers Grove parks, according to a Downers Grove Police Department report.

Offenders reportedly dismantled the bleachers on the north side of the baseball field at Memorial Park, 1602 Maple Ave.

The seats and foot boards are valued $5,000 and were stolen between 9 a.m. Dec. 6 and 2 p.m. Dec. 7, according to the report. The foot boards are 20 feet long, the report stated.

Bleachers also were stolen from the west side of the football field at Doerhoffer Park, 4101 Venard Road, between noon Dec. 6 and 10:15 a.m. Dec. 7, according to the report.

Seven, 12-foot tops and six, 8-foot tops valued at $1,200 were stolen, but the hardware was left behind, the report said.
