The Prairie Singers mark their 31st year of music making by opening this Christmas season with “Cold Was the Stable.”
The Prairie Singers have selected carols that reflect on the Holy Family at the stable that Christmas night.
First Presbyterian Church, Morris, will host the singers at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Epworth United Methodist Church, Ottawa, hosts the singers at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, Coal City, stages the singers at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in conjunction with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The final concert will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Seneca. The Gothic church is a perennial favorite of the singers as they close their Christmas season. A free will offering will be taken at all church concerts.
