Bureau Valley High School announces homecoming week activities

MANLIUS — Bureau Valley High School has announced activities for its homecoming week, which will be held the week of Sept. 10.

The 2018 homecoming court includes freshmen Jaden Michlig and Ella Entas; sophomores Evan Eckberg and Shelby Hardy; juniors Milo Bystry and Ashtyn Hanabarger; and seniors Madalynn McFadden, Madell Carmen, Carolina Sass, Jace Rediger, Garrett Scott and Noah Simon.

Each day of the week will have a theme. Themes are: Monday, Pajama Day; Tuesday, Tacky Tuesday; Wednesday: Decade Day; Thursday, Class Color Day; and Friday, Storm Pride Day.

Thursday’s events will include Speed Float, where each class, organization, club and team will have the challenge of putting together a float immediately after school. Participants will provide the hay rack, truck, etc. The winning float will be recognized Friday night.

Also on Thursday, the parade will travel from Manlius Lutheran Church and end at the BVHS football field. Line up for the parade will begin at 6 p.m. and the parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. A pep rally and bonfire will be held on the football field following the parade.

A pep rally will be held Friday and the football game vs. Monmouth-Roseville will take place that evening.

The homecoming dance will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
