McHenry-based Follett School Solutions partners with Kim & Patty’s Café

McHenry-based Follett School Solutions has partnered with local business owners Kim Ribar and Gina Woo of Kim & Patty’s Café for the management of Follett’s employee cafeteria.

The newly branded Mockingbird Café is an exclusive stand-alone restaurant that will offer fresh, made-to-order breakfast and lunch items for Follett employees.

In business for almost eight years, Kim & Patty’s Café is at 731 Ridgeview Drive in McHenry, just around the corner from Follett.

“It was a natural choice for us to partner with Kim and Gina, given their great food, value and customer focus,” said Nader Qaimari, president of Follett School Solutions. “We are pleased to support a local business and the McHenry community through this new partnership.”

The name Mockingbird Café is derived from the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird,” which is Follett’s best-seller.

During Labor Day weekend, the cafeteria made the transition to the new management team, with its first day of operations Tuesday.
