Joliet ReStore to host 3rd annual ‘Homes for the Hounds’

The 3rd annual Habitat for Humanity’s “Homes for the Hounds” will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Joliet ReStore, 1395 N. Larkin Ave., Joliet.

Teams of four to eight people will hone their creative skills to construct a doghouse, which then will be auctioned.

Any remaining doghouses will be donated to the Will County Humane Society, according to Habitat for Humanity ReSTore manager Heidi Serena.

The cost to sign up is a $100 donation. The deadline is Aug. 20.
