The 27th annual Taste of Pakistan is scheduled for Aug. 25 at the Performing Arts Center in Bolingbrook.
The event, which will be at 375 W. Briarcliff Road, is meant to celebrate Pakistan's independence day with food and entertainment from Pakistani artists.
Attendees also can shop for clothes and participate in a $5 raffle to win an airline ticket, TV and many more prizes.
Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar and the consul general of Pakistan will be honored guests at the event.
The taste will take place from noon to 11 p.m.
Admission is free.
The Association of Pakistani Americans of Bolingbrook organizes the event.
