PROPHETSTOWN – CommoditAg, an online co-op of agriculture businesses that provide chemicals and plant nutrition products, has added another crop protection company to its lineup, one with local ties: liquid fertilizer company Liqui-Grow, parent company of Rock River Lumber and Grain.
Farmers who order from CommoditAg.com can have their products shipped to their door, or they can pick them up at the nearest warehouse, which in this case is Rock River’s facility at 5502 Lyndon Road in Prophetstown.
Liqui-Grow, a division Davenport, Iowa-based ag retailer Twin State Inc., has five other warehouses in northern Illinois and Iowa: Roseville and in DeWitt, Hampton, Traer, and Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
Rock River Lumber and Grain also has retail and storage facilities in Sterling, Morrison, Tampico, Walnut and Hoopole.
