• Christopher Murphy, 27, of the 100 block of East Hale Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 3:42 p.m. May 16 with domestic battery, violation of an order of protection, violation of bail bond and resisting arrest in the 100 block of East Hale Street.
• Radoslaw Zwadzki, 26, of the 800 block of North York Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 8:04 p.m. May 16 with domestic battery in the 800 block of North York Street.
• Kenneth D. Gantt, 25, of the 4800 block of Northcott Avenue, East Chicago, was charged at 10:07 p.m. May 20 with domestic battery and criminal damage to vehicle at Butterfield Road and Bryan Street.
Burglary
A burglary to a vehicle reportedly occurred between 7:20 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. May 17 in the 200 block of South Route 83.
Controlled substance possession
• McCree Davis, 27, of the 200 block of Harrison Street, Geneva, was charged at 1:14 p.m. May 17 with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles at Interstate 88 and Highland Avenue.
• Sarah Jensen, 27, of the 600 block of Woodland Road, Palatine, was charged at 1:32 p.m. May 17 with possession of a controlled substance and failure to wear a seat belt at Interstate 290 and Route 83. Julie Rodgers, 39, of the 1300 block of Geneva Drive, Palatine, was charged at the same time and date with possession of a controlled substance at the same location.
• Andrew Santilli, 35, of the 1000 block of Rohlwing Road, Lombard, was charged at 2:15 p.m. May 17 with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, driving while license suspended and no insurance at Roosevelt and York roads.
• Kevin Beauregard, 28, of the 300 block of South Illinois Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 2:50 p.m. May 17 with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal at I-88 and Highland Avenue. Michael Kmiec, 32, of the 400 block of South School Street, Lombard, was charged at the same time and date with possession of a controlled substance at the same location.
• Joseph Sakwa, 60, of the 700 block of West Liberty Drive, Wheaton, was charged at 3:04 p.m. May 17 with possession of a controlled substance at Roosevelt Road and Main Street in Lombard.
DUI
• Brandi Pahl, 35, of the 2200 block of West Leland Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 1:24 a.m. May 16 with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper parking on the roadway at North Avenue and Indiana Street.
• Juan Lopez, 26, of the 500 block of South Eighth Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 3:24 a.m. May 17 with DUI of alcohol, no insurance, disobeying a traffic control device and driving while license suspended at North Avenue and York Street.
• Jason Papadopoulos, 30, of the 200 block of Mattina Court, St. Peters, Mo., was charged at 9:19 p.m. May 17 with DUI of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in the 500 block of Route 83.
• Brenda Rivera, 28, of the 700 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 1:39 a.m. May 18 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at North Avenue and Route 83. She was charged at 3:40 a.m. May 18 with DUI of alcohol, violation of bail bond, improper lane use and speeding at North and Myrtle avenues.
• Ismael F. Barinas, 55, of the 500 block of North Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 11:32 p.m. May 20 with DUI of alcohol, improper lane use, failure to yield to an authorized emergency vehicle and illegal transportation of open alcohol at North Avenue and Route 83.
Theft
• Baby formula reportedly was stolen at 5:25 p.m. May 14 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York Road.
• Ali Zeaiter, 63, of the 400 block of West Avery Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 3:46 p.m. May 15 with retail theft at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.
• Twelve company gas cards reportedly were stolen from unlocked work trucks between Nov. 1, 2017, and May 15 at Med Speed, 650 W. Grand Ave.
• A black specialized mountain bicycle with gray lettering was reported at 6:06 p.m. May 15 as having been stolen between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. March 21 at the Elmhurst Metra station, 128 W. First St.
• Liquor reportedly was stolen at 6:28 p.m. May 15 at CVS, 110 W. North Ave.
• Three bottles of vodka reportedly were stolen between 7:23 and 7:41 a.m. May 16 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.
• A theft was reported at 9:23 a.m. May 16 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St. The offender, who left the scene prior to the police officer's arrival, reportedly had committed an additional theft at 8:33 a.m. May 14 at the same location.
• Cash reportedly was stolen between noon May 12 and 11 a.m. May 15 from a purse at Lexington Square Retirement Community of Elmhurst, 400 W. Butterfield Road.
• Several bottles of alcohol reportedly were stolen at 2:25 p.m. May 18 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.
• A debit card and cash reportedly were stolen between 8 and 8:30 p.m. May 17 in the 200 block of North Addison Avenue. The victim's debit card reportedly was used to obtain cash.
• An orange, red and black electric guitar reportedly was stolen between 4 and 6 p.m. May 18 in the 800 block of South Kent Avenue.
• Clothing reportedly was stolen at 5:37 p.m. May 19 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.
Property damage
The left front and left rear tires of a black Toyota Camry reportedly were slashed between 11 a.m. and 2:22 p.m. May 19 at Clarion Inn Elmhurst-Oak Brook, 933 S. Riverside Drive.
Suspicious circumstances
An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 4:59 p.m. May 20 as having occurred between noon May 19 and 5 p.m. May 20 at Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St. A woman reportedly bought $2,000 worth of gift cards and then returned the following day to purchase $3,000 worth of gift cards. The police officer alerted local stores to be on the lookout for anyone attempting to make these kinds of transactions.
Marijuana possession
• Rafael Murguia, 31, of the 900 block of Pamela Drive, Bensenville, was cited at 5:25 p.m. May 15 with unlawful possession of marijuana at BP, 1003 N. York St.
• Allen Solano, 22, of the 3200 block of North Overhill Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:45 a.m. May 16 with unlawful possession of marijuana, no valid driver's license and no insurance at Church Street and Wrightwood Avenue.
• Joanna Joseph, 22, of the 400 block of Marshall Avenue, Bellwood, was cited at 12:01 a.m. May 17 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Route 83 and North Avenue.
• Jacob T. Bulthuis, 20, of the 100 block of Creve Coeur Street, La Salle, and Cruz C. Garcia, 19, of the 4600 block of Clinton Avenue, Forest View, were cited at 1:57 a.m. May 21 with unlawful possession of marijuana at St. Charles Road and Route 83.
Fraud
A counterfeit $100 bill reportedly was used in an attempt to buy gas and cigarettes at 12:08 p.m. May 20 at BP, 217 E. Butterfield Road.
Lost property
The rear license plate of a box truck was reported missing at 2:49 p.m. May 14 in the 700 block of North Larch Avenue.
Found property
• A stun gun was found at 10:10 a.m. May 17 in the field behind Conrad Fischer Elementary School, 888 Wilson St.
• A suspicious backpack was reported at 1:46 p.m. May 20 at Madison and Bryan streets. It was found to contain a sleeping bag.
Identity theft
• An incident involving identity theft reportedly occurred between 8 a.m. May 7 and 8 a.m. May 8 in the 400 block of South Hill Street.
• An incident involving identity theft was reported at 7:14 p.m. May 15 in the 100 block of Melrose Avenue.
• An incident involving identity theft was reported at 9:15 a.m. May 20 as having occured at noon May 11 in the 100 block of West Armitage Avenue. Someone forged and cashed a check from the victim's checking account.
