The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry is recognizing 30 individuals younger than 40 who are making an impact on the region in its inaugural Regional 30 Under 40, according to a chamber news release.
The recipients will be honored May 17 at Brookfield Zoo.
“As a regional Chamber of Commerce, we are committed to building a community of thriving businesses who understand the greater good of our communities, and that means celebrating a unique demographic making an impact on our communities,” chamber President and CEO Suzi Wirtz said in the release. “The reactions of these individuals and the excitement around this new program is inspiring and rewarding. With nine diverse communities in the region, we must seek out and promote future leaders who will guide and elevate the businesses of tomorrow.”
Recipients were selected from a large number of nominations by a selection committee of chamber top tier members. Criteria included geographic location, passion for their company’s mission and culture, stellar leadership qualities and demonstrations of significant contributions to the region, the release stated.
