Police: Lockport Township man sexually assaulted two girls

Assaults allegedly took place 3 years ago, police say

LOCKPORT – A Lockport Township man allegedly sexually assaulted two girls multiple times three years ago, police said.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, George M. Guzlas, 50, of the 2700 block of Lawrence Avenue in Lockport Township was arrested on a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault, according to a Will County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Will County sheriff’s deputies reportedly investigated Guzlas after they spoke with the father of two teenage girls March 8.

The father reported that his daughters told him Guzlas had sexually assaulted both of them multiple times about three years ago. Guzlas was their neighbor at the time.

The assaults took place when one of the girls was between the age of 10 and 11 and the other was between age 7 and 11.

Guzlas was booked into the Will County jail. He was scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon for a bond hearing.
