Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon
Victor U. Valle, 23, of the 4400 block of South Rockwell Street, Chicago, was charged at 3:53 a.m. Dec. 19 with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a FOID card, possession of ammunition without a FOID card, improper turn, improper lane use, disobeying a traffic control signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Larch Avenue and Third Street.
Attempted theft
An attempted theft of over-the-counter medicine reportedly occurred between 12:36 and 12:43 p.m. Dec. 21 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.
Burglary
• Cash reportedly was stolen between 6:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Dec. 19 from an apartment in the 100 block of Fellow Court. The front door reportedly had been unlocked, and the closet door reportedly had been opened.
• Jewelry reportedly was stolen at 1:02 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue.
Disorderly conduct
Robert Baldwin, 68, of the 600 block of George Street, Bensenville, was cited at 10:21 a.m. Dec. 19 with disorderly conduct – public intoxication at North Avenue and York Street.
Battery
A domestic battery was reported at 10:13 p.m. Dec. 21 at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road.
DUI
• Melissa Ibarra, 22, of the 400 block of Englewood Avenue, Hillside, was charged at 5:35 a.m. Dec. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing traffic at Route 83 and St. Charles Road.
• Keshon Benford, 21, of the 100 block of Fellows Court, Elmhurst, was charged at 12:50 a.m. Dec. 20 with DUI of alcohol, improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at West Avenue and Fellows Court.
• Richsand Abat, 32, of the 2900 block of West Farragut Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 1:01 a.m. Dec. 22 with DUI of alcohol, speeding, failure to signal, improper lane use and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle at Route 38 and York St.
Forgery
Small items reportedly were purchased using fraudulent $20 bills by three men between 9:17 and 9:19 p.m. Dec. 21 at Starbucks Coffee, 680 W. North Ave.
Identity theft
• An incident of identity theft was reported at 9:38 a.m. Dec. 18 in the 500 block of North Emroy Avenue.
• An incident of identity theft was reported at 5:17 p.m. Dec. 18 in the 400 block of West St. Charles Road.
• An incident of identity theft was reported at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 19 in the 300 block of East Huntington Lane.
• An incident of identity theft was reported at midnight Dec. 20 as having occurred at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 16 at Bank of America, 205 N. Addison Ave. A person reportedly had cashed a check posing as the victim at Bank of America and had withdrawn cash from her savings account at the bank.
• An incident of identity theft was reported at 12:39 p.m. Dec. 21 as having occurred at 9 a.m. Nov. 19 in the 200 block of North Maple Avenue.
• An incident of identity theft was reported at 9:44 a.m. Dec. 22 as having occurred between noon Dec. 19 and 10:18 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 200 block of East Second Street.
Marijuana possession
• Albano Kapino, 26, of the 3100 block of North 76th Court, Elmwood Park, was cited at 12:49 p.m. Dec. 18 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.
• Ashley Sopoci, 24, of the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was cited at 4:48 p.m. Dec. 18 with unlawful possession of marijuana and illegal transportation of open alcohol at Villa Avenue and Albert Street. Jean Rivera, 23, of the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was cited at the same time and date with speeding at the same location.
• Jessica Sieja, 22, of the 500 block of East Park Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 21 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without lights at York Street and Crestview Avenue.
Property damage
A light post reportedly was broken at the concrete base between 10 p.m. Dec. 21 and 8 a.m. Dec. 22 in the 800 block of South Prospect Avenue.
Suspicious circumstances
An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 19 in the 300 block of North River Glen Avenue.
Theft
• Cash reportedly was stolen at 12:53 p.m. Dec. 18 from a wallet inside a vehicle at Extended Stay America, 550 W. Grand Ave.
• Susan M. Peterson, 62, of the 4300 block of Atlantic Avenue, Schiller Park, was charged at 3:03 p.m. Dec. 18 with retail theft at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.
• A locked black Trek Alacat 26-inch mountain bicycle with a yellow plastic seat cover reportedly was stolen between 7:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Dec. 18 from a bicycle rack in the 100 block of West First Street.
• A Stihl handheld concrete saw reportedly was stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 19 in a parkway in the 800 block of South York Street.
• A locked bicycle, helmet and chain lock reportedly were stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 10 p.m. Dec. 19 from a bicycle rack at the southeast corner of York and Park streets.
• A white plastic engine hood, two white plastic fenders, a turbo charger from a truck engine, a silver front bumper push bar and a white plastic fender reportedly were stolen between 6 p.m. Dec. 18 and 11:15 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 800 block of Riverside Drive. A passenger door lock reportedly also was damaged.
• Jamesha McChristine, 19, of the 7900 block of South Langley Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 3:04 p.m. Dec. 20 with possession of a stolen vehicle, criminal damage to property, criminal damage to government-supported property and no valid driver's license in the 200 block of East Grantley Avenue. Terrell Thomas, 19, of the 500 block of West Englewood Avenue, Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with possession of stolen property, obstructing identification and resisting arrest at the same location. Tia Banks, 18, of the 7100 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest at the same location. Robin Howard, 20, of the 7100 block of South Vernon Avenue, Chicago; Kurtiss Berry, 22, of the 9600 block of South Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago; and Terrance Nelson, 18, of the 7300 block of South Seeley Avenue, Chicago, were charged at the same time and date with possession of stolen property at the same location. Two juveniles received juvenile petitions at the same time and date for possession of stolen property and resisting arrest at the same location.
• A brown wallet in an unzipped purse reportedly was stolen between 7:15 and 11:45 a.m. Dec. 20 from on top of a table at Emerson Elementary School, 400 N. West. Ave.
Traffic violation
• Marian Savchuk, 25, of the 4700 block of North Olcott Avenue, Harwood Heights, was cited at 5:09 p.m. Dec. 18 with driving while license suspended and improper passing on shoulder at Route 83 and North Avenue.
• Uriel Flores Lopez, 24, of the 2300 block of North Merrimac Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:51 a.m. Dec. 19 with driving while license suspended, speeding, expired temporary license plate, one headlight and no insurance at North and Berteau avenues.
• Steven Luetgour, 64, of the 400 block of Arlington Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited at 4:11 p.m. Dec. 19 with failure to give aid after a crash at York and Orchard streets.
• Kristie Musiol, 25, of the 1500 block of North 19th Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited at 4:57 p.m. Dec. 19 with improper turn and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at North Avenue and Route 83.
• Roberto Pena, 21, of the 10400 block of West Lyndale Avenue, Melrose Park, was cited at 3:56 p.m. Dec. 21 with improper passing, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Route 83 and North Avenue.
Warrant arrest
• Rolando Hernandez-Lopez, 22, of the 5300 block of West 23rd Street, Cicero, was arrested at 1:17 a.m. Dec. 10 on a warrant out of DeKalb and Lee counties and cited with tinted windows, no insurance and driving while license suspended at Lake and York streets.
• Nicole A. Velez, 23, of the 9600 block of West Schiller Boulevard, Franklin Park, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. Dec. 12 on a warrant out of Cook County and charged with driving while license suspended at Grand Avenue and County Line Road.
