Ciara Ryan won the all-around title and the Prairie Ridge co-op girls gymnastics team took first place at the Homewood-Flossmoor Invite on Saturday in Flossmoor.
Prairie Ridge, a co-op team including athletes from Prairie Ridge, Crystal Lake Central, Crystal Lake South and Cary-Grove, is the three-time defending gymnastics state champion and has now won its first two invites to start the season.
In addition to the all-around title, Ryan (a South student) took first on vault, second on beam and fifth on bars. Clancy Raupp (Central) finished second in the all-around behind Ryan. Raupp also took first on bars, tied for second on floor and finished fourth on beam.
Teammate Kat Schaffer (Prairie Ridge) also tied for second on floor. Kira Karlblom (Prairie Ridge) was first on floor and second on bars. Maddy Kim (Prairie Ridge) took fifth on beam.
