Geneva resident Rick Brinkman, 72, was getting coffee at The Corner Grind in Elburn when he answered questions for Shaw Media’s Zachary Van Vuren.

Van Vuren: Where did you grow up?
Brinkman: La Grange

Van Vuren: What did you want to be when you grew up?
Brinkman: A surgeon

Van Vuren: And what did you do?
Brinkman: General surgery

Brinkman: I have three children and four grandchildren. My wife and I recently had our 40th wedding anniversary.
