Mabry seeking re-election as Bureau County treasurer

Princeton woman to run for second term

PRINCETON — Bureau County Treasurer Courtney Yates-Mabry has announced she will be seeking re-election for a second term as county treasurer.

After serving a full term in office, Mabry said she is very proud of the accomplishments she and her staff have achieved. Mabry’s goals as treasurer have been to do business ethically, keep a high standard of service, and update some of the services in the office to make things run more efficiently.

During her time as treasurer, Mabry implemented a new accounting system with better financial tracking, not only in her office but in all county offices, and successfully implemented automatic deposits to all taxing districts for tax money disbursements.

Looking towards the immediate future, Mabry says she will be overseeing the implementation of a new payroll system as well.

Mabry has served in the county treasurer’s office for 13 years, and says she enjoys the daily challenge, the people she works with, and the opportunity to serve her community.

Courtney and her husband, Josh, live in Princeton with their twin children, Owen and Olivia, age 7. Their family attends Northwoods Community Church in Princeton.

Mabry commented: “The experiences I’ve had as county treasurer have been very valuable to me. I have worked hard to keep integrity and ethics a priority in my office. I look forward to serving Bureau County another four years.”
