• Jonathon Niewinski, 23, of the 700 block of North Adele Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 12:40 a.m. Sept. 1 with battery, obstructing identification and resisting arrest in the 700 block of North Adele Street.

• John H. Dansby, 18, of the 900 block of North York Road, Elmhurst, was charged at 10:11 a.m. Sept. 1 with aggravated battery and resisting arrest at York Community High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.

• Brian Tutton, 41, of the 1900 block of South Ninth Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 11 p.m. Sept. 4 with aggravated battery at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road.

• Cara Krull, 21, of the 300 block of South Sunnyside Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 10:52 p.m. Sept. 7 with domestic battery in the 300 block of South Sunnyside Avenue.

Burglary

• A makeup case and purse reportedly were stolen between 4:15 and 9:20 p.m. Sept. 9 from a vehicle parked outside of the Clarion Inn, 933 S. Riverside Drive.

• Three apple iPads and one multi-port USB charging station reportedly were stolen between 2 p.m. Sept. 9 and 6:44 a.m. Sept. 11 from Ignite Fitness, 263 N. York St.

Child pornography possession

Ralph F. Tellefsen III, 62, of the 100 block of South Berkley Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 1:31 p.m. Aug. 27 with possession of child pornography at Tellefsen & Associates, 126 S. York St.

Controlled substance possession

• Jeremy Wilson, 35, of the 600 block of West Terrace Street, Villa Park, was charged at 1:05 a.m. Sept. 7 with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at North Avenue and Illinois Street.

• Jacob Brooks, 39, of the 1300 block of Grandview Court, Algonquin, was charged at 7:28 p.m. Sept. 7 with possession of a controlled substance in front of Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.

• Maria Zuniga, 45, of the 1300 block of North 57th Avenue, Cicero, was charged at 1:31 p.m. Sept. 9 with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance at Goodwill, 675 W. North Ave.

• Nicholas T. Emery, 19, of the 3300 block of North Olcott Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 7:48 p.m. Sept. 9 with possession of a controlled substance, loud muffler and no rear bumper at Route 83 and St. Charles Road. Disorderly conduct

• Christopher Krieg, 28, of the 400 block of North Princeton Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 12:55 a.m. Sept. 2 with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in the 100 block of North Addison Street. Luis Flores, 27, of the 100 block of East Lake Street, Elmhurst, was charged at the same time and date with disorderly conduct at the same location.

• Enrique Diaz, 61, of the 5000 block of South Paulina Street, Chicago, was charged at 10:57 a.m. Sept. 4 with disorderly conduct – befouling property and possession of alcohol in public at Schiller Street and Haven Road.

DUI

• Nicholas Pennella, 31, of the 400 block of North Willow Road, Elmhurst, was charged at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 3 with DUI of alcohol and drug combination, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to yield at an intersection at York Road and Grantley Avenue.

• Bernabe Frausto-Escobed, 49, of the 200 block of South Fifth Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 2:02 a.m. Sept. 3 with DUI of alcohol, no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and endangering the life of a minor at St. Charles Road and Interstate 290.

• Labarain Rushing, 61, of the 8100 block of South Colfax Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 11:43 p.m. Sept. 10 with DUI of alcohol, improper turn, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver's license, endangering the life of a child and disobeying a traffic control device at Robert T. • Otis Luckey, 35, of the zero to 100 block of Kingery Quarter, Willowbrook, was charged at 10:14 p.m. Aug. 19 with DUI of alcohol and drugs at Route 83 and St. Charles Road.

• Jim Maldonado, 20, of the 100 block of West Brown Street, West Chicago, was charged at 1:04 a.m. Aug. 25 with DUI of alcohol and drugs, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use and arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County at North and West avenues. Francisco Marin, 20, of the 100 block of Easton Avenue, West Chicago, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor at the same location. A juvenile offender was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by a minor, consumption of alcohol by a minor and violation of curfew at the same location.

Fraud

Four tires reportedly were purchased with a fraudulent check at 12:27 p.m. Sept. 7 at Elmhurst Toyota, 440 W. Lake St.

Harassment

Roberto J. Mercado-Jimenez, 48, of the 5100 block of West St. Paul Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 2:37 p.m. Aug. 27 with harassment through electronic communication in the 500 block of South Spring Road.

Marijuana possession

• Seth Combs, 22, of the 100 block of Haven Road, Elmhurst, was charged at 11:51 p.m. Aug. 27 with unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at North Avenue and York Street.

• Glenn Wallace, 26, of the 300 block of Park Street, Bensenville, was charged at 12:11 a.m. Aug. 28 with felony unlawful possession of marijuana and tinted windows at York Road and Diversey Avenue.

• Thomas E. Muller, 54, of the 1400 block of Birch Lane, South Elgin, was charged at 7:44 a.m. Aug. 28 with unlawful possession of marijuana at Whole Foods Market, 215 S. Route 83.

• Scott Harris, 18, of the 1300 block of South Degener Avenue, Hillside, was charged at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 29 with unlawful possession of marijuana in the 200 block of South Route 83. A juvenile was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

• Joseph Nichols, 32, of the 400 block of South Wisconsin Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 12:59 a.m. Aug. 30 with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at St. Charles Road and Villa Avenue.

• Jonah Englert, 19, of the 500 block of Dove Lane, Coal City, was charged at 1:52 a.m. Sept. 14 with unlawful possession of marijuana at York Road and Robert T. Palmer Drive.

Order of protection violation

John M. Goggin, 36, of the 600 block of East Lake Street, Addison, was charged at 5:14 a.m. Sept. 1 with violation of order of protection in the 600 block of West Grand Avenue.

Drug paraphernalia possession

• Alyssa Huffman, 30, of the zero to 100 block of County Trail Court, Moscow Mills, Mo., and Trevor Hagan, 29, of the 1100 block of East Lorena Avenue, Wood River, were charged at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 8 with possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of South Route 83.

• Corey Jordan, 25, of the 100 block of East Grantley Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 2:05 a.m. Sept. 8 with possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in a parkway near St. Charles Road and Argyle Avenue.

• Victor K. Ogbebor, 21, of the 4300 block of West 179th Street, Country Club Hills, was charged at 7:27 a.m. Sept. 12 with possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle in the 200 block of North Glade Avenue.

Property damage

• The windshield of a vehicle reportedly was shattered, the driver's door reportedly was scratched, and the hood reportedly was dented between 7:30 a.m. Aug. 26 and 10:23 a.m. Aug. 27 while it was parked in a driveway in the 600 block of Mary Court.

• Eileen Messino, 68, of the 500 block of North Walnut Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 8:31 a.m. Aug. 28 with criminal damage to property in the 500 block of North Walnut Street.

• A garage door of an attached storage building reportedly was damaged between 2 p.m. Aug. 26 and 6 a.m. Aug. 28 at the Elmhurst YMCA, 211 W. First St.

• A vehicle reportedly was vandalized and sugar reportedly was poured in the fuel tank of the vehicle between 2 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 31 in the 900 block of South Riverside Drive, according to a report made at 2:41 p.m. Sept. 7. A company truck parked next to the victim's vehicle reportedly also had mechanical problems.

Theft

• A wallet reportedly was stolen between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 25 from an unsecured locker at XSport Fitness, 633 W. North Ave.

• A wallet was reported stolen at 7:49 p.m. Aug. 28 at CVS, 110 W. North Ave.

• Merchandise valued at $403.71 reportedly was stolen at 2:45 p.m. Aug. 29 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

• Anthony J. Knight, 42, of the 100 block of Maple Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 10:17 a.m. Aug. 31 with retail theft at Jewel-Osco, 153 E. Schiller St.

• An unsecured black and white men's Raleigh mountain bicycle reportedly was stolen between 9:30 and 10 p.m. Sept. 1 from the bicycle racks at York Community High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road.

• A purse reportedly was stolen at 11 a.m. Sept. 5 from a vehicle in the 500 block of Indiana Street.

• A locked white and gray men's Specialized Hard Rock 2.0 mountain bicycle reportedly was stolen between 9:50 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 5 from the bicycle rack at Park Avenue and York Road.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen between 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at Mariano's, 678 N. York St.

• A saw reportedly was stolen at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 700 block of Swain Avenue.

• A Schwinn 10-speed bicycle reportedly was stolen between 3:44 and 3:56 p.m. Sept. 8 in front of Kmart, 265 S. Route 83.

• A package reportedly was stolen at 2:06 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 200 block of North Oaklawn Avenue.

• Sarah Crawford, 23, of the 3000 block of Madison Street, Bellwood, was charged at 8:58 p.m. Sept. 9 with misdemeanor retail theft at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

• Jewelry reportedly was stolen between 1 and 9 p.m. Sept. 4 from a bedroom drawer in the 900 block of North Virginia Lane.

• A wallet reportedly was stolen at 7:27 p.m. Sept. 11 at XSport Fitness, 621 W. North Ave.

• Vitamin bottles were reported stolen at 10:10 p.m. Sept. 12 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.

Underage drinking

• Nathan Franklin, 19, of the 600 block of Eagle Avenue, Bourbonnais, was charged at 2:55 a.m. Sept. 3 with consumption of alcohol by a minor at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Dylan Luehring, 18, of the 200 block of Geneva Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 4:55 a.m. Sept. 4 with consumption of alcohol by a minor, disobeying a red light and speeding at St. Charles Road and Route 83. A juvenile was charged at the same time and date with violation of curfew and consumption of alcohol by a minor at the same location.

Vehicular hijacking

A vehicular hijacking at gunpoint reportedly occurred at 8:35 p.m. Sept. 13 at Shell Gas Station, 218 E. Butterfield Road. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied an hour later in a Burr Ridge parking lot.

Warrant arrest

Michael Szczypta, 27, of the 1000 block of Palomino Drive, Little Elm, Texas, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Aug. 27 on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.

Zero tolerance

Oscar Gamez, 20, of the 300 block of Chestnut Street, Addison, was charged at 12:56 a.m. Sept. 10 with zero tolerance, improper lane use, no valid registration and illegal transportation of alcohol at Lake Street and Route 83.
