150th committee gives thanks for debate help

The Sesquicentennial committee would like to thank the Mount Carroll Rotary for sponsoring the Lincoln-Douglas Debate that was held on Saturday. Thanks also goes out to Timber Lake Playhouse and Dan Danielowski for hosting the event due to the inclement weather.

Thank you to Diane Manikowski and Anna Gray for providing cookies for after the event.

Please join us from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. this Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Mount Carroll Sesquicentennial Church Tour. The tour begins at the Community House and progresses to the Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran and Catholic Churches and finishes at the Church of God. Each church will give a short presentation about their history. Birthday cake for the city of Mount Carroll and coffee and lemonade will be served at the Church of God. This should be a fun and informative afternoon.
