A big thank-you to all those who helped make Celebrate Lanark and the Chili Cook-Off successful. The six cook-off competitors, including Bella Polizzi’s Pizza, Eastland FACS Food 1 Class, Amanda Haas, and Bill Piper, provided tasty chili and a tight competition. Congratulations to the Eastland FFA Boys, who took the $50 first place prize, and the Eastland FFA girls, who won the $50 second place prize.
The winners of the grand prize drawings were Daryle Jones, Tom Young and Izaac Kuhlemier. We wish to express our gratitude to Carroll Service, Exchange State Bank, Eastland Junior and Senior High School, The Special Touch, Holly’s Hair Design, Hickory Hideaway, Bella Polizzi’s Pizza, Casey’s, Lanark Pharmacy, and Treasure Hunt for their donations to the prizes.
Thanksa re also due to Superintendent Mark Hansen and Eastland Schools for a great location, and to Bill Piper who donated his time preparing for and taking down after Celebrate Lanark.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the participants who spent a lovely Saturday presenting their work at the event, and to the guests who attended.
