BEI Properties in Batavia appoints Austin Dempsey new CEO

BATAVIA – BEI Properties recently announced the appointment of Austin Dempsey as CEO. The Batavia native becomes the second CEO of the company, following in the footsteps of his father, who has held the role since 1988.

In his position as CEO, Dempsey will continue to build upon the strong commitment to the community that has been a foundation to the success of the business since 1959, according to a news release.

“BEI Properties considers itself a good corporate citizen," Austin Dempsey stated in the release. "Most of our staff live and work in the communities that we operate in, and we take great pride in the fact that we have helped the greater Fox Valley grow over the last six decades.”

Dan Stellato, president of BEI Properties, praised the leadership transition.

“Mr. Dempsey is a great fit for this position as he has spent the last 10 years learning our systems and the movers and shakers in our market," Stellato stated in the release. "His prior experience working for large publicly traded real estate trust companies brought valuable experience – and his passion for the community [helps] make him a natural fit for the position.”

A few examples of BEI Properties' development projects and partnerships include the Red Gate neighborhood, a partnership to develop Geneva Commons and Fisher Farms, and, most recently, the new downtown Batavia Walgreens.

BEI Properties, a division of Batavia Enterprises, is a locally owned and operated leasing and property management company that owns and manages industrial, retail, commercial and residential properties throughout the Fox Valley. To learn more, visit beiproperties.net.
