Chapelstreet Church opens Mill Creek campus

BLACKBERRY TOWNSHIP – Chapelstreet Church held the first worship service of its new campus at 1S455 S. Mill Creek Drive, Blackberry Township, in the Mill Creek subdivision on Oct. 1, the church announced in a news release.

The new campus was acquired from Faith Baptist Church and had been undergoing renovations, the release stated.

Chapelstreet Church Mill Creek will be under the leadership of the Rev. Sterling Moore, the release stated.

“We are incredibly excited to be opening up the doors of Chapelstreet Church at our Mill Creek campus,” Moore stated in the release.

“We look forward to welcoming families and individuals to the church and serving this community,” Moore stated in the release. “We hope to be a place of connection for people of all walks of life and backgrounds. We have a sense of great anticipation for all that God can do to transform and impact lives here at Chapelstreet Church.”

The opening of the Mill Creek campus aligns with Chapelstreet Church’s neighborhood church vision – a strategic shift to begin opening smaller church campuses in neighborhoods in and around the Fox Valley, the release stated.

In addition to weekend services, the Mill Creek Campus will host Hand in Hand, a preschool ministry, the release stated.

The new building is Chapelstreet Church’s third campus, in addition to campuses on South Street and on Keslinger Road in Geneva, the release stated.

Chapelstreet Church is the new name given to the church in May. Previously, it had been known as the First Baptist Church of Geneva, officials said.
