Burglary
• Cash reportedly was stolen between 10 p.m. Aug. 4 and 8 a.m. Aug. 5 from two cars parked in a driveway in the 6300 block of Barrett Street.
• A wallet reportedly was stolen between 11 p.m. Aug. 5 and 7 a.m. Aug. 6 from a car parked in the 1900 block of Loomes Avenue.
• A laptop computer and cigars reportedly were stolen between 10 p.m. Aug. 3 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 4 from a car in the 3900 block of Douglass Street.
• A GPS unit reportedly was stolen between 10 p.m. Aug. 5 and 8 a.m. Aug. 6 from a car parked in the 6400 block of Barrett Street.
• A fishing knife reportedly was stolen between 10 p.m. Aug. 5 and 6 a.m. Aug. 6 from a car parked in the 1000 block of Norfolk Street.
• The contents of the glove box and $40 cash reportedly were stolen between 5 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 2 from a pickup truck parked in the 1400 block of Bolson Drive.
• A backpack containing a laptop computer and cellphone reportedly was stolen between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5 from a car parked in the lot of Holiday Inn Express, 3031 Finley Road.
Theft
• A man reportedly attempted to steal two bottles of champagne at 2:22 p.m. Aug. 4 at Caputo’s Fresh Market, 42 Ogden Ave. The man was stopped by store security, who retrieved the bottles of champagne, but the offender ran away into an adjacent residential area.
• An electric skateboard reportedly was stolen between 5:50 and 6:24 p.m. Aug. 8 from the amphitheater at Fishel Park, 1036 Grove St.
• Cecylia Potoczak, 70, and Boleslaw Potoczak, 83, both of the 6500 block of Western Ave., Willowbrook, were charged at 1:24 p.m. Aug. 5 with retail theft at Goodwill, 110 Ogden Ave.
• Cindy Chang, 57, of the 100 block of Larchmont Lane, Bloomingdale, was charged at 5:48 p.m. Aug. 10 with retail theft at Fry’s Electronics, 3300 Finley Road.
Marijuana possession
Darioun C. Smith, 20, of the 2400 block of Roosevelt Road, Broadview, was charged at 12:42 a.m. Aug. 8 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and improper lane use in the 2300 block of Ogden Avenue.
WESTMONT
DUI
Michael Robb Jr., 21, of the 8800 block of West 75th Street, Justice, was charged at 8 a.m. Aug. 8 with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to provide information after an accident and illegal transportation of alcohol in the 6300 block of Fairview Avenue.
Theft
License plates reportedly were stolen between midnight and 7 a.m. Aug. 9 from a car parked in the 100 block of Ainslie Drive.
