MORRISON – Dale R. Blasdell, 65, of Morrison, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Morrison Community Hospital.
Dale was born Dec. 15, 1951, in Morrison, to Ray C. and Jessie P. (Hovey) Blasdell. He was educated in Fenton grade school and was a 1970 graduate of Erie High School. Dale married Maria C. Hernandez on Feb. 28, 1975, in Morrison. Dale was a farmer and enjoyed using his hands, working on all types of tractors and vehicles. He was a handyman and enjoyed helping others. He was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church and a member of Whiteside County Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Anna (Justin) Tate of Morrison and Regina (DJ) Sikkema of Lyndon; two sons, Raymond (Julie Anderson) Blasdell of Fulton and Dail Lee (fianceé Amanda Wiersema) Blasdell of Morrison; five grandchildren, Vanessa (Nick) Cunningham, Brent and Toby Tate, Ethan and Alexis Sikkema; his mother-in-law, Guadalupe Hernandez of Erie; one sister, Carol (Mike) McNealy of Morrison; two brothers, Donald “Butch” (Sandra) Hamm of Morrison and Roger D. (Carmen) Blasdell of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pearl Blasdell and Betty Van Meter; and two brothers, Johnnie Hamm and Maurice Blasdell.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ken Renkes officiating. Interment will be at Fenton Cemetery.
A memorial has been established by the family.
