PRINCETON — MTM Recognition opened its doors on Dec. 7, to the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, Princeton Industrial Commission and others for a plant tour.
This tour was given in hopes of starting better dialogue and awareness of MTM in the community.
Tom Tester, plant manager, said, “If you can dream it, we can make it.”
Many attendees had no idea of the capabilities MTM’s craftsmen produce on a daily basis. Rings, pins, necklaces, even watches are worked by hand — every piece. There is no machine to start with a brick of gold and turn into a ring complete with perfectly set stones, bezel and engraving.
MTM Recognition is a recognition awards and jewelry manufacturing provider. It employs approximately 150 people in Princeton and 300 at its headquarters in Oklahoma City, Okla. In 2001, Dave Smith, owner of MTM, purchased the Princeton facility from Jostens. Princeton creates unique jewelry pieces and coordinates the lifestyle products. Its main hub of customer service also operates out of the facility. MTM’s 45th anniversary was celebrated in 2016.
