Fabers will celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Faber of LaMoille will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house, hosted by their children, from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at the LaMoille Community United Methodist Church.

Fred Faber and the former Aleta Kessel were married Aug. 26, 1956, in the First Methodist Church of Amboy by the Rev. Olin Clarke Jones.

The couple are the parents of two children, Glenn (Jane) Faber of LaMoille and Candi (Marc) Kingry of Ladd. They also have four grandchildren, Jenica (Brad) Cole of Peoria, Cole (Katy) Faber of LaMoille, Brandon (Savannah) Kingry of New Jersey and Nathaniel Kingry of Iowa; and two great-granddaughters, Hadley and Tinley.

Prior to retirement, Fred was a life-long farmer. Aleta is a housewife.
