WOODSTOCK — A Chicago teen will spend time in prison after he admitted to burglarizing a Woodstock residence with two other men.
Amire Rose, 19, pleaded guilty Wednesday to residential burglary, a Class 1 felony.
Rose was sentenced to four years in prison and two years of post-release supervision.
All additional charges against Rose were dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.
McHenry County Judge James Cowlin accepted the plea agreement.
He also will receive credit for time served in the McHenry County Correctional Facility since his arrest in November 2015.
Rose was arrested after police said he, Kentrell J. Leggitt, 18, and Bashiek Stovall, 40, broke the door frame of a home in the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue in Woodstock and entered the residence.
The men, who were in the home only for a few minutes, stole a firearm before fleeing the scene, police said.
All three were apprehended days later, police said.
Leggitt also pleaded guilty to residential burglary March 30 and received a four-year prison sentence with two years of post-release supervision.
Stovall will appear in court June 30.
