BENSENVILLE – The village of Bensenville recently hired Evan Summers to be the new village manager.

He served the city of Berwyn for nearly eight years, most recently as assistant city administrator. Prior to Berwyn, Summers was research assistant for the city of Valparaiso, Ind. He is experienced in policy and budget analysis, compliance, public relations and economic development, the village news release stated.

“We are very excited to welcome Mr. Summers to the village of Bensenville,” village President Frank Soto said in the release. “It was a very thorough and comprehensive process to select a new village manager. Mr. Summers brings a top quality education, very successful municipal leadership, and tremendous positive energy with him to Bensenville.”

Summers holds a bachelor's degree in public management from Indiana University, and his Master of Business Administration from Purdue University.

“I’m excited to build upon Bensenville’s strategic location and recent successes,” Summers said in the release. “I look forward to not only my professional responsibilities as village manager, but also to get involved with Bensenville’s civic and social organizations on a personal level."
