Daniel Ryan “Buddy” Springer

HOLIDAY, Fla. – Daniel Ryan “Buddy” Springer, 26, of Holiday, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at his home. He was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Glen Oak Health Care in Holiday.

Daniel was born May 8, 1989, in Dixon the son of Gary E. and Brenda K. (Burgett) Springer.

Survivors include his fiancée, Aurea Cartagena of Holiday; mother, Brenda Burgett of Sterling; father, Gary (Denise) Springer of Rewey, Wisconsin; maternal grandmother, Sue Burgett of Rock Falls; one sister, Dawn Springer of Sterling; and two brothers, Cody Springer of Sterling and Scott Springer of Rewey.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Smith, his paternal grandparents, and his maternal grandfather.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. A gathering also will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Froggy’s Bar & Grill in Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
