Two hurt Sunday in motorcycle crash

OGLE COUNTY – Two people were injured Sunday in a single-motorcycle crash in the 3500 block of state Route 2.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 4:40 p.m. A motorcycle driven by David Richardson, 58, of Rockford was northbound when Richardson lost consciousness because of a preexisting medical condition, causing him to enter the west ditch.

Richardson was airlifted by OSF Life Flight to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, where he remained in fair condition Monday. Richardson’s passenger, Lori Morise, 46, of Rockford, suffered minor injuries and was taken by Dixon Rural ambulance to KSB Hospital in Dixon, where her condition was unavailable Monday. Oregon police and fire assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

One hurt Sunday in one-vehicle rollover

OGLE COUNTY – A Clinton, Iowa, woman received minor injuries Sunday in a single-vehicle rollover in the 5900 block of state Route 64 East.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies and Oregon ambulance personnel responded at 4:57 a.m. A Cadillac sedan driven by Ivan C. Barragan Ortiz, 25, of Savanna, was westbound when he possibly fell asleep. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled over.

The front-seat passenger, Paola Dondiego, 23, of Clinton, suffered minor inuries, and was taken to KSB Hospital in Dixon. Her condition was unavailable Monday. Barragan Ortiz and the rear-seat passenger, Mellisa Dondiego, 18, of Clinton, were not injured.
