NEW LENOX – Police said a Joliet man exchanged naked pictures online with a teenage girl.

Deshaunell D. Knight, 24, of the first block of North Cagwin Avenue, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of child pornography, solicitation of a minor, grooming a minor for sexual purposes and distribution of harmful materials.

Joliet Deputy Chief Robert Pawlisz said police were notified Aug. 5 that Knight and the girl had exchanged several emails.

“The subsequent investigation confirmed that Knight had sent the juvenile victim a picture of his genitals and he had received nude photos of the juvenile victim,” Pawlisz said.

After investigators used subpoenas to review records from phone and Internet companies, a warrant was issued for Knight’s arrest, Pawlisz said.
