Dixon man charged with sexual abuse of a child

STERLING – A 33-year-old Dixon man was in Whiteside County Jail on Wednesday, charged with sexually abusing a girl younger than 13 for more than a year and a half.

Timothy A. Taylor was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, which carries 3 to 7 years in prison. His bond is set at $50,000.

According to court documents, the abuse involved him "knowingly" touching her breast, between Jan. 1, 2014 and Sept. 12.

He has a preliminary hearing Nov. 9.
