BATAVIA – A clothing store has moved one mile south on Randall Road from Geneva to Batavia.

Plato’s Closet now is located at 69 N. Randall Road, Batavia, near a Target store.

A grand re-opening event and ribbon cutting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. today at the Batavia store, according to a news release.

The first 20 people in line at 10 a.m. today are guaranteed item giveaways, such as Coach and Kate Spade purses, gift cards, Jimmy John’s sandwich trays and more, the release states.

A DJ will play music, and Batavia Mayor Jeff Schielke will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well, according to the release.

The store previously was located at 1900 S. Randall Road in Geneva.

The Batavia location will be the first to debut an updated look for the Chicago market of the store franchise, the release states.

Plato’s provides a relaxing way of shopping where customers will see “vignettes” of lifestyle clothing that can easily be put together as an outfit, according to the release.

Styles offered at the store include boho, classic, athletic leisure – also known as athleisure – and more.
