LA GRANGE – The La Grange Fire Department welcomed families for a day of learning about fire safety at its open house Oct. 10.
Attendees saw live demonstrations of how firefighters do their job with a burn room and a stove fire demonstration.
Staff also gave them a behind-the-scenes look at the station during a tour.
Sparky the Dog was there to entertain children, and the Fire Department served up popcorn.
Other local organizations also were on hand to present more safety information.
