Dr. Christopher Udovich Named Silver Cross Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer

NEW LENOX – Dr. Christopher Udovich has been named vice president, chief medical officer at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Udovich Hedges Clinic and the Silver Cross Hospital Medical Staff in 2001 after completing his Medical Degree at Loyola University and Family Practice Residency at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

His undergraduate degree is from Illinois Wesleyan University where he was an All-American football player.  After completing his residency, Dr. Udovich developed a busy primary care practice, and gradually assumed leadership roles within both his medical group and hospitals at which he was on staff.

In September, Udovich concluded a two-year term chief of staff representing over 700 physicians in private practice on the hospital’s board of directors.  Prior to that, he served as chief of staff elect, electronic medical record medical director, and department chair of family medicine.

Udovich is also active with the Will Grundy County Medical Society, where he is a past president and current member of its board of directors.  He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
 
The 43 year old was born and raised in Joliet and attended St. Paul's Elementary School in Joliet and Joliet Catholic High School.  He resides in Mokena and has two children—Nick and Carli.
