Ribbon cutting at Riverview Diner in Montgomery

The Montgomery Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) the Village of Montgomery and the Greater Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an official ribbon cutting ceremony for Riverview Diner in Montgomery on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Restaurant owner Eleno Silva first opened his doors in Montgomery in May of 2004. "Eleven years later, we're still here and better than ever. I love what I am doing and I think my clients notice this. And for me and my team, the most important thing is to serve and provide every one of my clients with quality food and respect.”

Silva wanted to expand for his customers and was concerned when they would have to wait in line for over 40 minutes. With this new addition, they have nearly doubled seating capacity and added banquet room space which is available for private parties.

Edgar Silva, son of owner Eleno Silva, delivered a speech after the ribbon cutting ceremony which was followed by a breakfast.
