ALGONQUIN – Numerous employees with Algonquin State Bank recently were promoted to various executive positions, Vice Chairman and co-CEO Daniel Morrissey announced in a news release.
Richard Worzala will move from president and chief operating officer at the bank to vice chairman and co-chief executive officer, the release said. Worzala, who has 28 years of banking experience, joined Algonquin State Bank in 2010.
Karen Villaflor was named president and chief operating officer after working as executive vice president. She joined the community bank in 2008 after working in public accounting for numerous financial institutions.
Georgine Ference was promoted from senior vice president of loans to executive vice president. Ference has worked at Algonquin State Bank since 1996.
Jeffrey Kroeger was promoted from vice president of loans to senior vice president. A banker for 27 years, Kroeger started with Algonquin State Bank in 1995.
“On behalf of the board of directors and staff of Algonquin State Bank, it is my pleasure to congratulate these individuals on their recent promotions,” Morrissey said in the release. “We thank them for their commitment to serving our customers and for the many contributions they make to Algonquin State Bank.”
Founded in 1902, the community bank operates three branches throughout Algonquin.
